Before Kamar de los Reyes died in December 2023, he was married to Sherri Saum. The pair tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in 2007.

Sherri was born on October 1, 1974. She’s an American actress best known for her co-lead role as Lena Adams Foster in the Freeform drama series The Fosters as well as a subsequent guest star role in its spinoff Good Trouble.

According to Lisa Goldberg, his wife, actress Sherri Saum’s publicist, the television, movie, and voice actor, Kamar de los Reyes died in Los Angeles at 56 on Sunday, December 24, 2023, following a brief battle with cancer.

De los Reyes was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Las Vegas. He caught the bug for acting when he arrived in Los Angeles in the late ’80s.

In “One Life to Live”, de los Reyes starred as Antonio Vega, a former gang member who became a lawyer and then a cop. In “Call of Duty: Black Ops II,” he played the villain Raul Menendez.

His film credits include; Ghetto Blaster, Coldfire, Lethal Ninja, The Silencer, Street Knight, Fatherhood, Daedalus Is Dead, The Cell, Cayo, Hot Guys with Guns, LA Apocalypse, and Kingdom.

De los Reyes also appeared in the films, Shooter, Sleepy Hollow, MacGyver, The Gifted, SEAL Team, The Passage, The Mentalist, Reed Between the Lines, The Rookie, All American, and The Mentalist.

According to a statement by the family, “De los Reyes lived in Los Angeles, however, his heart never left Puerto Rico,”. It added that the actor had been active in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Maria in 2017.
